For Children

Training in the Martial Arts can be beneficial to children in a multitude of ways. Rules of etiquette teach tolerance and respect for others. The benefits for health include overall body conditioning, improved coordination and balance, thus establishing a lifelong habit of exercise. Children also learn how to defend themselves in case the need would ever arise.

The Martial Arts also guide children to think before they act in what may be a potentially dangerous situation. Significantly, a child that has learned respect for others and who is physically fit realizes that they are worthy of respect. This helps to develop the self-confidence children need to succeed.

Preschoolers can also benefit from Martial Arts training. For students of this age the focus is on enjoyment, developing self-confidence, and building basic physical strength and coordination. Repetition, positive reinforcement and role-playing are just some of the methods used to ensure success for preschoolers.
